This is especially true now when people are shying away from going to malls and preferring to stay at home and save their cents for a possible rainy day.
Malls after all is the first area that people will go to before they go to the specific shops. If they don’t find the malls that good, they would not even be encouraged to go there much less see the shops.
Here are some of the things that mall owners and shopping centers moguls can do to up their customer service rating and slowly encourage those people in their houses to come out and hang out in their malls. Who knows, they might even be able to spend some money while they are there.
1. Hold events
One way to lure in potential customers is to hold events that will tickle their fancy. You can invite a band for instance to play inside the mall and at the same time launch their new album there. They get free publicity and venue for their launch, you get additional customers from the fans that will surely troop to your mall. Another event that can be advantageous are kid’s programs and symposiums that target kids. Parents will not be able to resist bringing their kids there for some free entertainment and activities. When you get people inside your mall, they will surely spend some money, whether buying stuff or just plain eating out.
2. Hold promos
Offer promos like free parking for every purchase in a certain store or a discount in one restaurant when you buy in one shop. The possibilities are limitless. With this you can, enjoin the other stores to help you mount this by pitching in pledges of free gifts and discounts. That way, people will have a reason to go to your mall. Besides nothing is as attractive as a promise of discount in this time of recession.
3. Make parking easy
One of the things that people really hate about malls is the parking. So fixing this problem will win you a lot of customers. If you do not have much space in your parking lot, you can always offer valet service. That way, customers need not wait to have their parking. They can enjoy shopping right away. And that means more possibilities of them spending their money inside your mall!
